Dog Owner Notices Hot Dog In Their Yard - Police Issue Chilling Warning About Possible Poisoning

Dogs are incredible creatures, celebrated and loved for the cuteness, compassion, and loyalty. However, several sickening cases of animal cruelty have caused outrage and fear in the Lake Hallie area, Wisconsin, after a disturbed individual began throwing hot dogs, laced with poison, into people’s backyards in an effort to kill their dogs. The horrifying incidents have been occurring for over a week and, while no dogs have been killed, many have become violently ill after consuming the hot dogs. Police and dog owners believe it is only a matter of time before a loving animal is lost to the senselessly cruel actions of the unidentified abuser.

In a report by Fox 9, police have revealed that they have been unable to track down the man responsible for the animal cruelty. However, the authorities have shown that they are committed to bringing him to justice, releasing a blurry black and white photo of their primary suspect and warning dog owners in the area to keep their dogs on a leash and in sight at all times. Police have also shared a photo of the poisoned hot dogs and revealed that they are currently attempting to determine what the toxic compound is. The hot dogs are tied together using dental floss and seem like tasty treats to dogs and other animals. The motive for such a callous act of cruelty is not known at this point in the investigation but police have several theories, ranging from psychopathic tendencies to an aversion of dogs stemming from a previous incident. Whatever the motivation, there is no question that this man needs to be brought to justice for his actions.

The horrifying case has caused a strong reaction from other members of the general public with one Dailymail user from Atlanta, saying: “Hang him. He doesn't deserve life”. The terrible incident has reignited debate within America about the relatively light penalty for animal cruelty and abuse. Rather than a misdemeanor charge or probation, many Americans are advocating for extended periods of jail time.
