Doctors Shocked When They Discover What's Stuck Inside Young Boy

Five-year-old Keshav Sahu, who lives in India, kept complaining of severe pain to his parents. He soon started vomiting everything he ate. His parents started growing more concerned and decided to take him to the hospital.

Doctors wanted to determine the cause of the problem and ordered an x-ray. All they saw was a stone in the boy's bladder and an unidentified 6-inch-long object. The doctors began operating on the boy and were shocked when they pulled out the bloody item.

They rinsed it off and found out that it was a toothbrush handle. In fact, the handle had pierced the boy's intestines three times and was sitting near his bladder. In addition, the doctors removed the stone and stitched up the holes. The boy said he knew he swallowed the toothbrush about a year ago, but didn't tell his parents because he feared they would be angry.

Dr. Patel, the pediatric surgeon who treated the boy, said “It was an unusual case as generally we come across cases like swallowing of coins by children. People generally die in such cases if they are not provided treatment on time, but how this little boy survived is nothing less than a miracle.”
