Disturbing Information Brought To Light About SEAL Team 6

Narratives quickly form in all kinds of stories, and that’s especially true when talking about acts of heroism. For example, US Navy's special forces unit Seal Team 6 is generally lauded for being an elite team that will protect our nation at all costs. That narrative is enhanced by the fact that the team killed terror kingpin Osama Bin Laden, and many members of the team have reaped the rewards in the form of worldwide fame, speaking engagements, books, films and countless other endeavors. However, a shocking new expose reveals that the narrative may have been slanted a bit too far on the sunny side.

As the Daily Mail shares, the Naval Special Warfare Development Group has made some shocking claims that paints the team in an incredibly unflattering light. In short, the unit basically did as it pleased and engaged in a culture of lawlessness that included some unthinkable acts that are way beyond reasonable interpretations of the rules of engagement. While the expose is careful to point out that not all Seal team members are being painted with this brush, it’s nonetheless an eye opener that some members are alleged to have behaved in an unconscionable manner.

“According to this source, after shooting the man, who turned out to be unarmed, Hyder proceeded to mutilate his body by stomping in his already damaged skull,” reads one damning allegation.

Members of the team reportedly took great pleasure in re-watching videotaped scenes from their missions.

“It was war porn. No one would do anything about them,” an anonymous Seal claims.

Even the killing of bin Laden was fraught with behavior that leaves a bad taste in the mouth, as multiple team members are said to have battled over the account of the incident. The battle stemmed from team members desire to conflate their own roles in taking him down, and that was solely to enrich themselves in the future via book and movie deals.
