Did You Buy Frozen Food From Walmart In The Last Year? If You Have This Item, Throw It Out Immediately

The National Frozen Foods Corporation has issued a limited recall of some of its products due to listeria concerns. According to Your Nation News, a good portion of the recall centers around Walmart-labeled food items.

The company issued the recall due to the possibility that frozen peas and mixed vegetables manufactured by the company may contain listeria, which could lead to a serious infection known as listeriosis. That infection can pose serious health risks to pregnant women, young children, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems.

The items were sold at Walmart and other stores between September 2015 and June 2016, and there is a full list of affected product codes on the company’s website. The risk of listeria inside of the products is considered to be low, but the company is exercising an abundance of caution to insure there are no ill-effects for its customers.
