Denzel Washington Is Over People Complaining About Trump - Issues This Statement

It’s awards season, and that means it’s time for a whole bunch of self-important celebrities to mosey on up to the microphone to offer up an unsolicited take on the state of politics in America. We had our latest example at the Golden Globes, courtesy of famed actress Meryl Streep, who quite possibly could not have alienated more than half of the country any more than she has.

As QPolitical shares, Streep hit all the favorite talking points of the elitist left, namely that President-elect Trump is the worst thing that ever happened to our country, and anyone that voted for him is awful too. In short, the speech was fear mongering and name-calling at its finest, and there are a whole bunch of people that will now think twice before purchasing tickets to another Streep film.

Thankfully, there’s still some celebs that manage to keep their feet on the ground. Denzel Washington recently sat down for an interview - and he managed to get his point across without any inflammatory rhetoric!

“Oh the difficulty of making a movie’ Send your son to Iraq, that’s difficult. It’s just a movie. It’s like, relax. I don’t play that precious nonsense. Your son got shot in the face? That’s difficult. Making a movie is a luxury…” he said during a recent interview.

Washington’s Hollywood colleagues would be wise to take note of the sentiments he’s expressed, as his viewpoint is shared by a good portion of the ticket buying population across the country.

“It’s an opportunity, and most importantly, it’s a gift. Obviously, everybody here is talented enough to do that, but don’t get it twisted. It’s just a movie. It ain’t that big a deal,” he continued.
