Deceased Baby's Blood Tests Came Back - Grandma's Hideous Secret Finally Revealed

The lives of married couple Hayden and Taylor Shaw were turned upside down when their 9-month-old son, Kobe, was found dead at their home in Sandy Springs in Georgia. Unfortunately for the Shaw family, the happiness and joy of Kobe’s birth were replaced by heartbreak when doctors tragically informed the couple that Kobe had a debilitating genetic disease that would likely claim his life before he reached the age of five. So when Taylor’s mother, Tonya Monroe, shook her daughter awake the fateful night of Kobe’s death, everyone presumed that Kobe had succumbed to his genetic illness and died of natural causes.

Authorities were shocked to learn that this was not the case. After paramedics were called to Ms. Monroe’s house, where the couple was living on March 11, 2016, Kobe was tragically pronounced dead at the scene and his body was taken to the Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office to ensure an accurate cause of death was identified. However, when the toxicology report indicated traces of methamphetamine in Kobe’s tiny body, it was determined that 9-month-old Kobe had been murdered. Taylor’s mother, Ms. Monroe, had a history of methamphetamine use but she was believed by Taylor and Hayden to be clean at the time.

On the night of Kobe’s murder, Ms. Monroe disappeared and was immediately at the forefront of the homicide case as the primary suspect. Ms. Monroe was on the run from authorities, who had a warrant for her arrest, for around two weeks until Officers of the Sandy Springs Police Department finally caught up with her. Ms. Monroe was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine, felony murder, and cruelty towards children and is now held in Paulding County. Ms. Monroe is yet to make a statement regarding the motivation behind murdering her grandson and why she left her daughter and her partner without their only child. Hayden and Taylor are stricken with grief after the turn of events, and have spoken to reporters stating they hope Ms. Monroe ‘rots in jail’.
