A Missouri man was enraged by the abuse his adult daughter suffered at the hands of her boyfriend. He's taken it upon himself to initiate a manhunt, and has offered $500 for information leading him to the suspect.
Cedric 'Moe' Powe, 27, nearly killed his girlfriend Chelsea Simmons, age 20. Powe's abuse cost Simmons the vision in one of her eyes, but the psychological damage may be even worse.
"Apparently he choked her until she passed out, brought her back, then choked her again and continually stomped on her head,” said the victim's stepmother Melissa Zack. “She's scared and she probably will be forever.”
Mark Zack, the victim's father, is bound and determined to find his daughter's abuser. He released a picture of Powe and is offering a $500 reward to anyone that helps him track the abusive boyfriend down.
“He needs to be caught so that this doesn't happen to anyone else, and I don't have to worry about it happening to her ever again,” said Mrs. Zack.
Powe has a long criminal record, and has been charged with domestic battery before. The charge was dismissed in a plea deal and instead he served a year for an obstruction of justice charge.
Simmons had filed a restraining order on Powe last month, but Powe has violated other restraining orders in the past.
