Couple's Engagement Goes Viral Because Of Their Names

Peanut butter and Jelly. Mac and Cheese. Salt and Pepper. Some things just go together, and if we’re lucky, the same can be said for us and our prospective mates. According to the Huffington Post, this couple in Illinois appears well on their way to earning that distinction.

The couple is even taking the step of turning in their amateur status to go pro. Pending nuptials are in the works for Joel Burger and Ashley King, and the couple couldn’t be happier. You read that correctly. Already on the short list for the union of the century, the upcoming joyous occasion has been dubbed as the Burger-King wedding.

“We have yet to escape the teasing. But we have fully embraced our nickname,” Joel explains.

The happy couple met in high school and were friends, but didn’t begin dating until college. It’s been smooth sailing through the drive thru ever since, and the royal alliance is looking forward to a whopper of a good time at their wedding.

No word on whether they will permanently adopt the hyphenated last name, or if their future offspring are pleading relentlessly from the future in favor of a non-hyphenated last name.
