Couple Shocked By Note They Received From Their Waitress (Photos)

You can learn a good deal about the character of a person when others around them are in need, and those same moments can turn into a gut check for the fabric of a community as a whole. According to the Independent Journal, this waitress and the couple she was waiting on pass the test with flying colors.

Chris and Dreama Richards have shared a story about stopping for a quick bite to eat in Rocky Point, WV.

“We were on our cell phones a good bit while in the restaurant, so I told her that we were not being rude, just trying to coordinate efforts with donations,” Dreama explained in a post on Facebook.

The couple was doing their part to help get donations together for victims of the disastrous flooding that has paralyzed parts of the state. They would even apologized to the waitress, but she completely understood as she had family that had been impacted as well. When the couple was getting to leave, the waitress surprised them with a note instead of a check for their meal.

“Please take the money you would have spent on dinner tonight and use it to buy supplies. I know it isn’t much but I know every little bit helps. God bless you and stay safe,” the note read.
