Couple Claiming To Be 'Too Fat To Work' Makes This Much Off Of Government Benefits

A couple from the UK receives enough public assistance that they can sustain themselves without working, and even they acknowledge that something’s horribly wrong with this picture. As the Daily Mail explains, they shared their story during the recent program entitled “Benefits: Too Fat To Work.”

Stephen Beer and his wife, Michelle Coombe were profiled extensively in the program, and they didn’t hold back in their assessment of the situation.

“The Government is making it easy for people like us. The Government is making it easy for people on benefits,” he says.

That being said, they’ll continue taking what they are entitled to, even though it doesn’t always sit right with them.

“I’m the one who put myself in this situation, no one else,” Beer continued.

The program featured others that receive public assistance for the same reason, and that’s led to a ton of head-scratching among taxpayers.

“Being obese shouldn’t entitle you to benefits. These people need to be motivated to turn their lives around and become useful members of society,” shares weight-loss expert Steve Miller.
