Cops Protect Walmart Store From Looters - Speechless By The 'Thank You' They Receive

Bakers in a Georgia Walmart refused a customer when she tried to order a cake for her father's retirement party. A manager and corporate office apologized and tried to set it right, but they only made matters worse.

An anonymous Walmart customer went to the bakery to request a cake for her father, a police officer about to retire. She showed the bakers a picture of a police flag and asked if they could make a cake with the design for her father's retirement party.

The Walmart workers refused. “One of the bakers told me the design could be perceived as racist and nobody feels comfortable decorating the cake,” the woman said.

The woman tried to be flexible and asked for a chocolate cake with a blue frosting stripe, but apparently, that was also considered crossing the line by the three bakers.

The woman left the store, disappointed, with no cake on order. “I go to Walmart all the time — at least once a week spend hundreds of dollars. I just wanted to make my dad a cake to show how much i appreciated him,” she said.

Walmart has confirmed the report and apologized for the incident. A manager at Walmart reached out to the customer and offered her a free cake, as well as a $50 gift certificate. There's just one problem - the bakers still refused to make the cake.

The woman was shocked to receive a cake that looked no better than something an amateur home could have whipped up. The cake was unevenly frosted, extremely plain, the writing was sloppy and crooked. Apparently, the exasperated manager decorated the cake himself when the bakery staff refused, even though he had no training or experience in cake decorating.

I wonder how those Walmart bakers would feel if they needed the police, and the cops refused to serve them.
