Cops Notice What Football Player Did To Our Flag - The Photo Is Going Viral

With so many football players protesting authority by opting out of the National Anthem, it's nice to see at least one player being supportive. This high school player carried a flag with him as he stepped out onto the field to show his patriotism and support of police.

L.A. Kelly II of Licking Heights, Ohio walked out onto the field for a game while holding an American flag with a blue stripe. The flag has become a symbol for those who support the police. The 'blue line flag' is mean to honor fallen law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty.

Kelly, the son of a police officer, asked his coach prior to the game if he could stage his own little protest. Many students across the country have been following the example of their professional sports heroes and taking a knee in protest of the ‘Star-Spangled Banner.’ The Black Lives Matter movement has supported such protests.

Kelley wanted his protest to be pro-America, and pro-law enforcement. As he stepped out carrying his flag, the crowd cheered. A photo of Kelley and his flag was snapped, and it’s since gone viral.

“What an awesome young man with a bright future!” read a post on the ‘Ohio Going Blue’ Facebook page. “Thank you to all involved for allowing our law enforcement officers to be recognized by our youth.”
