Controversial Girl Scouts Video Goes Viral

A disturbing video depicting a hazing incident involving a group of Girl Scouts in Mexico has led to the termination of the troop’s leader, and a ton of outrage from angered parents. As the Sun reports, the video shows a terrified young child being subjected to a bizarre initiation ceremony.

Video of the incident, which took place in the Los Remedios National Park, was uploaded online, and that led to the scout leader being bestowed with the nickname of ‘Lady Bullying.’ The hazing ritual included other scouts pouring Coca Cola over the head of the terrified young child, who is estimated to be about five-years-old, all while the leader encourages them and even helps out.

The Mexican Scout Association has relieved the leader of her responsibilities, and released a statement on the incident.

“We condemn these acts and wish to express our repudiation for anything which goes against the principles of the scouting movement like this clear case of bullying involving children and young people,” the statement read in part.

Viewers of the video have expressed a ton of outrage.

“This is not an example of what scouts in Mexico stand for. It’s an example of ignorance and the lack of education of some people,” shared one user.
