During campaign season, it was a pretty regular occurrence to see President-elect Donald Trump’s events close out with the playing of the Rolling Stones classic song “You Can’t Always Get What You Want.” As we’ve seen since his stunning victory, there’s a large amount of people that are failing to take that eloquent advice to heart.
As Fox News Insider reports, our latest example comes from a group of college students at St. John’s University in Queens, New York. The group is apparently having a hard time getting a grip on things, and they’ve composed a letter to some fellow students that are Trump supporters. Those Trump supporters have displayed a Trump-Pence flag in their window, and it’s upsetting the aggrieved letter writers.
"We, your fellow residents of Century Hall, request that you remove the flags in support of the president-elect from your window. We believe their display constitutes harassment, and therefore violated the University's Code of Conduct," the letter reads in part.
The letter goes on to explain that they understand those that display the flag “may in fact be a proud racist, misogynist, homophobe, etc.,” but it’s creating a hostile environment for them. No word on whether the letter writer’s grasp the concept that labeling all Trump supporters with derogatory adjectives is its own form of harassment.
