Cher Uses Magazine Feature To Take Aim At Trump - Calls Him Out For "Cheating"

Cher has enjoyed a storied entertainment career that keeps her in the spotlight even as she advances in age, but she’s becoming a story of late for different reasons entirely. The star has made no secret of the fact that she’s no fan of President Donald Trump, and she’s more than happy to unload about that very fact anytime a microphone is nearby. As the Huffington Post shares, Cher was at it again, this time while sitting down for a lengthy interview with Billboard magazine.

Being that Billboard is a magazine geared towards the music industry, you would think there would be plenty of other topics for the accomplished performer to discuss with the publication. The things that Cher has seen and done could easily fill up several pages, but she had some other things to get off of her chest. Trump is still sticking in her craw. Big league, as the president may say. It’s not just his personality that rubs her the wrong way either. Cher is calling attention to something that she feels everyone but her is missing.

“The president is cheating and getting away with it, and using the White House to make money, and he’s going to take health care away from people, and people are going die. It’s outrageous. You feel like you’re screaming ‘Fire!’ and no one’s listening,” she said.

Perhaps no one is listening to accusations such as those because they are presented devoid of facts. Yelling ‘fire’ when no one is present can lead to all sorts of trouble, and randomly yelling accusations that are not grounded in reality can cause others to cease paying attention to you. Moving on, Cher noted that she shared some valuable advice with Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, but she doesn’t think the losing candidate implemented her foolproof advice correctly.

“I told Hillary she should have a group of millennials give their ideas about government,” Cher continued.

There seemed to be plenty of millennial-themed ideas floating around Hillary’s campaign to begin with, and some observers would argue that her campaign was overrun with members of that age group as well. As for those that feel Cher should keep her beak out of political matters, she brushes those requests aside almost as quickly as she drops an unfounded opinion.

“I am who I am, it doesn’t make any difference what I’m supposed to be,” she said.
