Check Your Hotel Rooms And Public Bathrooms - If You See This, Leave Immediately

Whenever you go to a new place, it is important to be aware of your surroundings. You should know where all exits are, where you can find help if you need some and just be aware of your surroundings in general. However, what do you do if you don't know what to look for? With great advancements in technology, people are inventing new and horrible ways to spy on each other.

If you do in any public bathroom, changing room or hotel room, you will probably find clothing hooks. They appear to be normal enough. However, if you notice at the top of the hook, there is a small hole. The hole appears to be there from where it was hung on the wall. However, in fact it is a small camera. It records audio and video and is quite easy to put together.

If you suspect there is a camera in the hook, pull it off from the wall. You do not want to take any chances. According to Brick House Security, it is completely legal to have cameras in your own home. This is one of the reasons why nannycams are becoming increasingly popular.

However, that does not apply to every public space. "Not every state expressly bans the use of hidden cameras in places where a subject might have a reasonable expectation of privacy. But that doesn't mean you should assume it's legal — or morally acceptable — to record a subject without his or her consent in any private area.

Also remember that it's illegal in the United States to record video (or audio) with the express purpose of blackmail or other "malicious intent." Even if you follow all other laws governing covert surveillance in your state, please keep in mind that your rights are waived if you engage in criminal behavior." If you find out someone was recording you where you thought you would be safe, like in a public bathroom or store dressing room, alert the police so they can bring the criminal behind the camera to justice.
