Bride Has A Strange Itch That Won't Go Away, Turns Into A Rare Nightmare

Deciding to get married is one of the most incredible, life changing moments a person can have. After becoming engaged, the following months are usually filled with stressful wedding planning, blissful happiness, and excitement for the future. However, for Liam Crossley and his future bride, Lucy, a heartbreaking diagnosis upended their lives and their plans after they became engaged. After announcing that they were going to be married, everything appeared to be going perfectly for Lucy and Liam who were having huge success both personally and professionally. Lucy had just been accepted for a new job with a lingerie company and had traveled to London for workplace training.

In a horrific turn of events, Lucy began to feel an itch across her entire body. Despite no rashes, allergies or contact with foreign substances, Lucy couldn’t stop itching, making her skin bleed on several occasions. In a panic, she contacted Liam who said “She was in London training for her new job and called me to tell me about it.

She was not one to make a fuss, so I knew it must be bad.” Liam advised Lucy to visit a medical professional and get something to relieve the symptoms. Despite using several over the counter creams prescribed by doctors, there was no change in Lucy’s condition.

Four months later, a doctor finally managed to diagnose Lucy’s condition and heartbreakingly revealed to Liam’s fiancée that she had an aggressive, very unknown type of cancer within her bile duct. Despite undergoing chemotherapy, Lucy was unable to get rid of the tumor. Doctor’s predicted that she did not have long left.

However, these macabre, exhausting circumstances could not prevent Liam and Lucy marrying each other in a small ceremony.

Liam describes the day as the happiest moment of his life but also the most bittersweet memory he will ever have. Three months after being married, Lucy passed away, leaving a devastated Liam alone in the world.

As a result of his own tragic experiences, Liam has taken it upon himself to spread awareness about the unknown form of cancer. Bile duct cancer targets a section of the liver and due to the small size of the tumors, diagnoses are often too late. Liam is determined to secure research funding and one day, find a cure so that no one else suffers the same fate as his beloved Lucy.
