Boys Find Plastic Egg Filled With Meth

The discovery of a plastic egg can fill a child’s mind with wonder, excitement and a burning curiosity to discover what’s inside. According to AOL, these children found something that didn’t resemble anything they were hoping for.

A five-year-old boy in Northern Ireland was playing with his eight-year-old brother when they happened upon their discovery. The boys found a yellow plastic egg, the kind that’s staple of Easter Egg hunts everywhere, and typically filled with a small toy, candy or money.

This particular egg was not filled with any of those treasures that the boys were surely hoping for, but rather a bag containing a white powdery substance. Not sure what it was, the egg was quickly handed over to their father, and it’s a good thing they did just that.

"The contents of the bag, which was found inside a toy egg, is believed to be meth amphetamine. This small quantity of drugs will be disposed of by police," said Inspector Colin Shaw.

Thankfully, these two boys were resourceful enough to hand the egg over to their father as opposed to ingesting its contents in hopes of a sugary treat.
