Boyfriend Holds Woman And Children Captive - She Saves Them By Doing One Genius Thing

A product from the popular fast food chain, Pizza Hut, was recently the saving grace for a mother of three children, who was being held captive in her home in Highlands County, Florida. The woman in question, Cheryl Treadway, was able to send a message out to the local Pizza Hut by putting a secret message into an online order form. When employees at the Avon Park Pizza Hut received the message, they immediately contacted police, leading to the mother and children being rescued.

While details are scarce, it is believed that Ms. Treadway’s boyfriend, a man named Ethan Nickerson, had become violent and locked the mother and her children in their home, imprisoning them for over a day. In a story on Fox News, reporters indicated that Nickerson finally relented to the family’s pleas when the children became hungry, allowing Ms. Treadway to order food.

Mr. Nickerson reluctantly let the quick-thinking mother order a pizza through Pizza Hut’s online order form. However, the thug wasn’t aware that users could write comments on the online order form. Consequently, when the local Pizza Hut received Ms. Treadway’s order for a ‘small hand-tossed classic pizza with pepperoni’, they were stunned to see the accompanying comment, which read: “Please help. Get 911 to me…911hostage help!” Realizing the woman’s plight, Pizza Hut staff contacted the Highlands County Sheriff’s Office - who sent several police officers to the home listed on the order form.

When police arrived at the scene, Mr. Nickerson was promptly arrested while Ms. Treadway and her children were found unharmed. The brutish ex-boyfriend would later be charged with “aggravated assault with a weapon without intent to kill, battery, false imprisonment and obstructing justice by depriving communication to law enforcement.” The local community has been shaken by the incident and the manager of the Avon Park Pizza Hut, Candy Hamilton, recently spoke about the terrifying ordeal, saying: “We've never seen that before. I've been here 28 years and never, never seen nothing like that come through."
