Boy Makes Historical Discovery At His Favorite Lake

Several years ago, a young boy would frequent his favorite lake Kurtna Matasjarv in Estonia. One day, he noticed air bubbles rising to the water's surface.

This continued for two months, as the boy continued to ponder what they were. So, he made the decision to investigate. He was able to get a group of people involved to see what they could find. They even found tracks that went into the lake, but did not come back out.

They did realize that whatever it was they were tracking, it was quite large. As a result, they got heavy equipment to try to pull it out. It was at 9 a.m. when they hooked the cables to the object to pull it out with a 68-ton dozer. They had to continue pulling for eight hours straight. Yet, they found something unbelievable--a 30-ton tank from WWII.

The tank was captured by the Soviet Army and used by the Germans in 1944. Experts believe that it was driven in the lake to conceal it's location and has stayed there since. The tank has now been restored to working condition.
