This Boy Murdered His Four-Year-Old Brother, You Won't Believe Why

An 11-year-old boy from Florida has been charged with murder after he supposedly strangled his 4-year-old stepbrother. The young boy, who had a history of violence and abuse as well as a fascination with dead farm animals, strangled his stepbrother after his mother told him that they couldn’t afford presents and a party to celebrate his birthday.

According to police, mothers’ Kyra Trahen and Vanessa Jones, were devastated when their 4-year-old son, Brayden Anthony Trahern, died in hospital in Gainesville, Florida, a day after he was strangled by his step-brother. Upon hearing of his death, the 11-year-old child supposedly told his mother that he “just want[s] [Brayden] to come back to life.”

The body of young Brayden was discovered by a male guest at the family’s residence.

The unnamed boy has a long history of bullying and abuse, having attempted to strangle another boy on a separate occasion. The boy’s mothers’ have revealed he also would dig up dead animals and cut their legs off or carry their carcasses around with him. This very disturbed boy was on several types of medication to deal with major anger issues as well as attending a juvenile sexual treatment facility in order to address his potentially deviant sexual behaviors.

The 11-year-old had allegedly set his own crib on fire in a prior incident, destroying the family home and forcing the family of four to live in a mobile home in Palatka, Florida. After the horrifying incident, the young boy was originally charged with aggravated battery resulting in great bodily harm.

However, after the death of his step-brother, the child will most likely be charged with murder.

Ms. Trahen’s daughter was immediately removed from the care of the married women and remains in the care of her father.

Numerous troubles have plagued the family previously, including incarcerations, beatings, molestation, prostitution, and homelessness, possibly resulting in the 11-year-old boy’s repulsive behavior. It is believed that Ms. Jones’ has lost custody of her son, who was placed in an inpatient psychiatric program.

Despite this ordeal, Ms. Trahen and Ms. Jones have remained married.
