Bodybuilder Issues Warning To Others From His Deathbed (Photos)

A bodybuilder from Manchester, UK diagnosed with liver cancer has died at age 39.

Dean Wharmby was given a terminal diagnosis in November of 2015, when a large tumor was discovered on his liver.

Wharmby, who had worked as a personal trainer, fought all the way until he finally succumbed at a hospice. His loyal partner Charlotte Rigby was also there at the end.

The always upbeat Wharmby had close to 10,000 followers on Facebook, and he shared his experiences during his illness on his page Dean’s Journey.

Staying amazingly positive throughout his battle, he also posted about fighting the cancer using natural medicine, taking vitamins and a strict diet with no sugar or meat.

When Wharmby was an active bodybuilder he scarfed down a 10,000 calorie a day diet of hamburgers, pizza and bacon sandwiches, and an average of seven to eight cans of high-caffeine energy drink.

He admitted in his posts that his quest to create the “perfect” physique may have contributed to his cancer. Wharmby also says he took steroids for a year early in his career to create his bulky physique because “everybody did it.”

Rigby updated followers after her partner moved into the hospice, and informed supporters of his passing on Facebook.

She noted: “Dean showed us all no doom or gloom, even in his darkest times. He fought through times where some people would crumble with a smile on his face and a big heart and he never gave up. He had such strong beliefs and I know that where he is now, he is free.”

Dean hopes other’s will heed his warning.
