Blind Hoarder Gets Devastating News About Her Son She Thought Moved Out 20 Years Ago

In a bizarre story from Brooklyn, New York, the skeleton of an adult man was found inside the home of an elderly blind woman completely filled with trash. When he saw the house, one police officer noted it looked like “a garbage truck had dumped its load” in the home.

Moreover, it appears Brooklyn resident Rita Wolfensohn was living with the skeletal remains of her son.

Based on reports from local media, Wolfensohn had apparently been living with her son’s corpse for two decades.

The body was discovered when relatives came to take Wolfensohn to the hospital and looked around the home.

Josette Buchman, who is the sister-in-law of Wolfensohn, reported she found a “completely intact” skeleton still with jeans, socks and a shirt on in a second-floor bedroom. The skeleton was lying on its back on a mattress on the floor.

Police say it seems that Wolfensohn likely didn't know she was living with her son's body for all these years. The police report notes Wolfensohn said she thought her son had moved out.

The police also highlight the room the body was discovered in was almost completely filled with junk.

The family told local media Rita Wolfensohn was currently residing in an assisted-living facility in NYC area.

Although the body has not been officially identified, police comment it seems very likely to be Wolfensohn's son.
