Ashley Judd Tries To Get Man Fired For Calling Her 'Sweetheart' - Gets Humiliated

Ashley Judd took to social media to detail an encounter she had. Unfortunately, she did not get much support from women when she posted an account of her encounter with a man who made a sexist comment and inappropriately touched her.

The movie star revealed on Facebook Live that the incident happened Saturday at an airport. “I was coming through security and a guy said, ‘Hey sweetheart,’ and I said, ‘I’m not your sweetheart. I am your client.’ Then, when I was setting my things out, he said, ‘Hey, nice dress.’”

That was not all the man did, according to Judd. She also accused him of making contact with her without her consent. “I didn’t see him touch anybody else,” the actress wrote. “And I turned around and I said, ‘That was unnecessary.’ By that time, you know, my skin was burning, my feet are burning. It’s so hard to continue to set these boundaries when someone continues to push. And then, for good measure, he said again, ‘Have a good day, sweetheart.’”

In a second post, Judd wrote that she was “happy to report that the manager with whom I spoke immediately apologized because I had a list of items to review with him.” She said the manager promised to have a “second and longer conversation” with the airport employee who allegedly committed the sexual harassment.

BizPac Review, instead of offering sympathy for Judd or expressing outrage at the man, published an article that mocked the actress. “The horror,” the website wrote sarcastically. “How can anyone expect her to be anything other than mortified by this felonious assault? … The man had the nerve to touch her. … But hey, what else could she do after a man had the nerve to compliment her?”

According to BizPac, most of the nearly 10,000 comments responding to Judd’s post sided against the Kentucky native. “Embarrassing to the state of KY; you’re ridiculous,” Lesley Cook-Baker wrote. “Oh by the way you must be really tired from traveling you look horrible you should have embraced the compliment.”

Angelia Dawsey asked, “Why don’t you just fall off the earth?” while Lindsay Whitt declared: “Hey sweetheart, your opinion sucks and so does your dress.” Cyndi Scully Graves wrote that she had “lost a lot of respect for her after watching this … she needs to get a grip!” adding: “She COMPLAINED to someone’s boss about this!!! So over Ashley Judd!!!”

Heather Audis piled on with this message: “You are truly what’s wrong with America!! Idiot liberals like you find something to be offended about every single day! Being nice is now offensive! You need to get a life! You really are a nasty woman!” The comment was a reference to Judd having supported Hillary Clinton by calling herself a “nasty woman” after Donald Trump used the term to criticize his election opponent in a presidential debate.

“You’re part of the problem as to why chivalry is dying,” Natalie Gebhard wrote. “There is no problem with someone giving a compliment. Get real. Not everybody wants you. Prayers for the fella you needlessly tried to get in trouble.” Jennifer Johnson Stricklin advised the actress to “take a deep breath and get over yourself.”
