Army Veteran Has Choice Words for Thief Who Stole His Truck

James Huff is a 20-year Army veteran whose 2002 Ford F-250 truck was stolen from his Texas home on Thursday morning.

He decided to make a statement to the crook by writing this message on a 4x8 plywood board, “To: The worthless dirtbag that took my truck, I gave 20 years of my life serving in 3 armed conflicts to protect YOUR freedom. I hope your mother sees this so she knows YOU STOLE FROM A SOLDIER.”

Rowlett police said they have no leads, but older trucks are a target for thieves in the area. Huff also said he only has liability insurance on his truck, which does not cover theft.

He added, “How can you hold your head up high and look at your family square in the eye? How do you sleep at night? I sleep well knowing I work hard and earn what I have.”
