Abusive Dad's Daughter On The Brink Of Death, He Gets Coffee Instead

A disturbing case of child abuse that led to manslaughter is playing out in the Brisbane Supreme Court in Australia, and observers have been absolutely horrified at the details that are coming to light. As the Telegraph shares, the man at the center of the case showed little concern for his daughter, who was in dire need of medical attention due to his alleged rampant abuse.

Matthew Lee Williamson is facing the court for the death of his three-year-old daughter. The girl suffered through a hellish existence that included both physical and sexual abuse before succumbing to her injuries. On the date of her death, Williamson’s former housemate, Christopher Kent, recounted the lack of concern from the father. Kent made it quite clear that the girl was in need of medical attention, as her lips were turning blue.

"He didn't give a s***. He just wanted his coffee and smoke," Kent recalled.

Kent has already spent 19 months behind bars for his role in the child’s death. Although he has admitted guilt, he has stood firm in the fact that he never physically or sexually assaulted the girl. Williamson’s defense team sees things differently, and they are trying to pin the entire case on Kent.

He explained to the court that the abuse was a regular occurrence in the household and that Williamson would lock the girl in her room while he slept the day away.

"It was like two adults fighting," he continued.

At the time of her death, the child had visible lacerations on her ear and lips, bruising on her face, an injury to her temple and a stomach injury that was consistent with a blow from an adult. Williamson claims that the girl was injured when Kent tripped and fell on her. The strange and disturbing case continues to play out in front of Justice Roslyn Atkinson. It’s unclear what kind of time Williamson is facing if he’s found guilty.
