People Cry UFO When Seeing Bizarre Black Smoke Rings In Sky

In the last couple of years, new concerns have been turning up on UFO conspiracy theorist message forums and YouTube channels: black rings. These menacing black rings have appeared in the sky around the world, seemingly hanging there in midair.

The menacing figures have many people worried that they are alien portals to another world, but there is actually a very down-to-earth explanation for the phenomenon.

These sinister-looking black rings have been spotted in Kazakhstan in 2015 and over the Burning Man festival. One was seen hanging over Novosibirsk, Russia in 2016, and one was spotted in Disneyland in California.

The most recent one has been spotted over West Yorkshire, England. Many people find the new phenomenon terrifying, and believers in aliens are worried that these floating circles are new technologies being used by people of other worlds.

According to UFO enthusiasts, the black rings are some kind of inter-dimensional portal or vortex that enable species with superior technology to zip in and out of our atmosphere. But no one knows if they're actually stable, or safe, for our own planet.

It's a terrifying thought that some alien kid's high school AP science experiment could end up sucking our galaxy into a black hole from another universe, or that hundreds of these rings will appear one day with a fleet of alien ships pouring out of it to take over.

Kimberley Robinson and Danny Cooper posted an image of a black ring they saw in the sky when visiting Disneyland and posted the video to YouTube. Robinson said it was the 'the weirdest thing I have ever seen'.

Kyle Hawkins, who also saw the ring above Disneyland, said, "It was a windy night, couldn't have been a smoke ring. Everyone watched it in fear/confusion. I half expected an alien portal to open up through this ring as we were gazing up in disbelief...The strangest thing I've ever seen."

In Russia, witnesses who filmed the phenomenon said, "It looked a bit smoky but the shape was a solid ring. We hadn't ever seen anything like this before. We have looked into it and no one knows what it is."

In the U.K., an author says he knows what it is - and it's less than other-worldly. The writer of 'UFOs of the first World War' claims it's nothing more than smoke rings.

"Smoke rings in the sky like this one look very spooky and unusual," said Nigel Watson in reference to the West Yorkshire. "In this case it isn't an extraterrestrial spacecraft from planet Zag sent by evil aliens, but the byproduct of cannon fire of a battle reenactment at the nearby Yorkshire Wartime Event."

The event involved 50 reenactments. Cannon fire smoke can sometimes end up hanging in the air, trapping air in its center. The trapped air circles within the ring, while the air outside keeps it from spreading, thus the smoke holds its shape for a while as it hovers.

Former Ministry of Defense UFO investigator, Nick Pope, also debunked the strange rings. "A so-called smoke vortex can arise when you have a blast through a circular structure like a smokestack," he told the Daily Mail. "So these weird effects can be caused by accident - or indeed by design."

Considering there are fireworks and pyrotechnic shows frequently on display at Disneyland and there is burning at the Burning Man festival, it seems to make sense. But some people will never be satisfied with a simple explanation.

"I realize that by debunking this I'll probably be accused of working for the Illuminati or something, but I genuinely think we can close the case file on this one," Pope added.
