Details of Teen Who Went Missing Was Kidnapped, Raped, Fed To Alligators Get Worse

Brittanee Marie Drexel disappeared when she was just 17 years old. The teen took off from Rochester, New York for Myrtle Beach without telling her parents back in 2009.

She disappeared without a trace from that point, and the last visual of her came from surveillance cameras in a hotel. It’s been long presumed that the teen was abducted and murdered, and we now have some gruesome and chilling details of what happened to her.

As the Post and Courier shares, FBI agent Gerrick Munoz has provided a detailed account of what investigators believe happened to the teen. His comments were contained in a federal court transcript, and they’re not for the faint of heart.

An inmate serving a 25-year sentence for voluntary manslaughter gave a “jailhouse confession” to help investigators tie the pieces together, as the man claims to have seen the girl in captivity.

“In the transcript, Munoz testifies that the inmate, Taquan Brown of Walterboro, told investigators he went to a 'stash house' in the McClellanville area in the days after Drexel was abducted,” the Post and Courier shares. “As he entered the house with a couple of other men, he saw Timothy Da’Shaun Taylor, then 16, 'sexually abusing Brittanee Drexel,' the agent said.”

It’s long been suspected that she was kidnapped and raped from that point, but specific details on the case have been hard to come by. Munoz goes on to provide a gruesome picture of the most plausible scenario for her disappearance.

“He spotted others also in the room with the girl and Da’Shaun Taylor, and he kept walking through the house to the backyard to give some money to Da’Shaun Taylor’s father, Shaun Taylor. As the two talked, Drexel ran from the house. She was 'pistol-whipped' and taken back inside,” the Post and Courier continues.

They add: “Two shots rang out and the inmate assumed Shaun Taylor shot the girl. Then the girl’s body was wrapped up and taken away. Asked what happened to the girl’s body, the FBI agent testified that it has not been found but that 'several witnesses have told us Miss Drexel’s body was placed in a pit, or gator pit, to have her body disposed of. Eaten by the gators.'”

The victim’s remains have never been found, but Munoz notes that investigators have searched a number of alligator ponds in the area, as well as the so-called ‘stash’ house.

Investigators contend that the story has been backed up by other information that they have received on the case, but the Taylors remain nothing more than suspects at this point. Another inmate has alleged that the younger Taylor "showed her off, introduced her to some other friends that were there … they ended up tricking her out with some of their friends, offering her to them and getting a human trafficking situation.”

It’s impossible to imagine the grief and agony that Drexel’s family has gone through during this whole ordeal. The new information is akin to salt in the wounds, but hopefully investigators are that much closer to delivering some justice for the teen’s death.
