Crocodile Shockingly Returns Man's Body To Shore

While many people may be skeptical of the existence of magic or some sort of supernatural component in life, some occurrences are just too difficult to explain without considering the possibility.

After a man in Indonesia was snatched by a saltwater crocodile, his friends and family were desperate to give him a proper burial, but the body was gone. They called the local 'witch doctor' for help, and the magic man cast a spell the next day to summon the creature.

Sure enough, the crocodile came swimming, clutching the dead man's body in its jaws.

Syarifuddin, the 41-year-old victim, was in a river with friends bathing when a large crocodile pounced on him and dragged him below the surface on Tuesday evening. The man's friends were unsuccessful in rescuing him, and police could not find the body. He was presumed dead.

Eet, a local, says there is a superstition about bathing naked in the river. “If the person bathes naked, they will be definitely be eaten by crocodiles, for sure. If they wear clothes they will not be ambushed."

Sadly, Syarifuddin ignored the superstition and bathed unclothed. Whether the crocodiles target bare flesh, or whether the man was just in the wrong place at the wrong time is unknown. But the attack was devastating.

The family was frantic to find the body of their loved one. They went to a local wizard who claims to specialize in 'crocodile witchcraft'. They asked him to cast a spell to bring Syarifuddin back alive.

The witch doctor cast his spell, and incredibly, a video shows the crocodile swimming up the river with Syarifuddin's body clutched in his jaws. Onlookers were shocked when the beast pushed the body of the man up to the shore.

The man was not alive - obviously, the wizard couldn't pull off a resurrection - but the body was, miraculously, intact.

Injuries were found on Syarifuddin's right side and his ribs were damaged in the attack, but the crocodile had not eaten his prey. Even more surprisingly, he had protected Syarifuddin's body to prevent other crocodiles from eating it, according to locals.

The local police said that the 'crocodile charmer' seemed to have accomplished what he promised to do: bring back Syarifuddin's body. The devastated family found a small comfort in knowing that they could now proceed with a funeral.

The police inspector said it was an "important thing was that the body had been found" and that locals were now hunting the crocodile that attacked Syarifuddin. A lot of people use the river to bathe, and having a large monster in the water has many locals nervous.

Even for those who have a hard time believing in things like magic and spells, the sight of a large crocodile delivering the uneaten body of a victim caught on video is astounding. Crocodiles are opportunistic hunters and will usually drag people under water and hold them in their powerful jaws until the person drowns.

They then feed by ripping the body apart with their powerful jaws. Taking the body for a swim is not part of the routine.
