7-Year-Old Notices A Toddler Facedown In A Pool - Acts Immediately

When Seven-year-old Cesar saw a toddler struggling for his life in his apartment complex’s pool he knew he had to do something to help.

“I was worried cause I thought he was going to die, so I went and saved him,” said Cesar.

He was walking a few building down through his apartment complex to play video games at his cousin’s house when he heard a big splash. When he looked up he saw a child in the pool thrashing his arms, lying face down. There were no adults around and Cesar knew it was up to him to help.

According to Little Things, the 2-year-old walked out of its home and squeezed through the bars of a gate that lead to the community pool. The baby could have been in the water for at least four minutes by the time Cesar arrived. Cesar ran over to the pool and quickly pulled the baby out of the water. He then ran to the complex’s main office and they called emergency responders.

Cesar recalls emergency workers working to bring the 2-year-old back to life. He was glad that the child made a full recovery. When asked why he decided to help the baby he answered, “I dunno. I just wanted to.”
