5-Year-Old Boy's Encounter With Homeless Man Leaves Waffle House Speechless (VIDEO)

An Alabama child was very concerned when his mother told him the man he saw was homeless. The little boy begged his mother to buy the man dinner. It was the best money she ever spent.

Josiah Duncan, age 5, was heading into a Waffle House with his mother when he noticed a disheveled man outside. Josiah had some questions about the man and had a hard time wrapping his brain around the fact that he was homeless.

"What does that mean?" he asked his mother Ava Faulk. "Where is his house? Where is his family? Where does he keep his groceries?"

Josiah begged his mother to invite the man to have dinner with them. Faulk agreed, but she said when the man sat down with them, 'nobody really waited on him.'

Her little boy jumped in again, getting the man a menu and going over the choices. Faulk encouraged the man to get whatever he wanted. When the food finally came, Josiah asked the man to pray with him.

"God our Father, God our Father, we thank you, we thank you," the young man sang. "For our many blessings, for our many blessings, Amen, Amen."

Everyone in the restaurant began to tear up. Josiah taught the adults around him a lesson that they had forgotten about being compassionate and non-judgmental.

"Watching my son touch the 11 people in that Waffle House tonight will be forever one of the greatest accomplishments as a parent I'll ever get to witness."
