4-Year-Old And Family Kicked Out Of Restaurant Because Of His Shirt

Employees at one Atlanta restaurant apparently have something against Ninja Turtles. Four-year-old Lewis Roberts was excited about the green Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle sleeveless shirt he picked out to wear that day to a restaurant with his family.

However, when the Lewis’ attempted to sit at a table to have lunch at the Tavern at Phipps Plaza a hosted denied them entry explaining that the child didn’t meet the “Gentlemen’s Dress Code.”

Even the manager told them that the code even stood for 4-year-old boys.

"If we would have thought for a minute that he was inappropriately dressed, we would have gone to a different restaurant to save the embarrassment," the boy's aunt said.

Apparently, the restaurant refused to talk to local news about the situation, but after upper management found out about it they issued this statement:

"(The) rule does not apply for children and ladies — for gentleman only. It was an embarrassing misunderstanding on our part. She's a manager in training who had a gross misunderstanding of our policy."

Management said they would reach out to the Lewis family, who said they accepted the apology. They even said they’ll return to the restaurant again.
