14-Year-Old Dies Suddenly While Waiting In Line, Doctors Revealing What Happened

Like most teens, Andreea Patuleanu loved to use Facebook. However, it was her devotion to the social media platform, and a heart and lung condition, that eventually led to her death.

According to the Mirror, the 14-year-old died of heatstroke after spending the entire day in the hot sun waiting to use a free computer and free wifi at a village hall in her Romanian town, according to the Mirror.

"She used to go in front of the town hall to get free wireless,” her uncle Cristian Grigore said. “She used it for Facebook like most kids do.”

Bystanders who were also waiting to use the internet said Andreea, who had a pre-existing lung and heart condition, spent the entire day in the sun and suddenly began to feel ill before she fainted.

"She told me she felt a pain in her chest, so I gave her water, but she was sick. She recovered for a bit then she clenched her mouth and collapsed." Her father Paul Patuleanu said, according to Mirror. "I was told it was because of the heat. She spent a lot of time under the sun that day waiting."

Medics tried to resuscitate her after she went into cardiac arrest, but failed.
