11-Year-Old Does Something Unexpected - Police Officers Stunned

The Fayetteville Police Department is very grateful to a generous young man.

Jonathon Capley, who looks to be around seven- or eight-years old, worked hard this summer doing odd jobs to earn money, and he decided to use the money to support a good cause. The
First Annual Nationwide “Back the Blue” event was announced, and Jonathon decided that was the perfect reason to break open his piggy-bank.

A variety of beverages and snacks were bought with his generous donation and donations by the Fayetteville Sonic Drive-In and Los Trojas restaurant.

Jonathon’s mother, Carly Capley, also wanted to point out Jonathon enjoyed the support of the owners of T&L Roofing, who permitted him to use their equipment to do many of his odd jobs.

A group of Fayetteville police recently visited Jonathon to thank him and pick up the donation.

A post on the Fayetteville PD Facebook page expressed the department’s gratitude to Jonathon: “We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to Jonathon Capley. This incredible young man has inspired us all and we are very fortunate to have young citizens as Jonathon in our great city. He has worked hard and we can't thank him enough for his dedication and support. You are AWESOME and THANK YOU FOR BACKING THE BLUE!!!”
