11-Month-Old Kidnapped, Abused For 2 Hours - It Gets Worse

The mom living in a tent close to Delhi in India let out a scream late one night when she realized her 11-month-old daughter had been taken from her parents' bed on a building site.

“I woke up and she was gone,” the terrified mom explained in an interview. “I don’t know what stirred me but when I knew she was missing I was screaming and crying for help.”

She then described how it took more than an hour police search before the girl was recovered by police.

Her daughter may now suffer from long-term health problems after the vicious rape.

The family were living in a tent because her father had been earning £2 a day as a laborer constructing a new police residential complex, and couldn't afford any other accommodations.

His wife noted: “We were used to sleeping this way. Many people sleep next to their work in Delhi, I thought we were ok.”
But when she woke up at 1 am, she was shocked to find her baby was missing.

“We shouted for help. I was shouting so loudly I woke everyone up in nearby tents and everyone started looking for my daughter. I was crying for help. We didn’t expect this. We were at peace. I thought we were safe. We all work together. It’s nice. We didn’t expect that something like this could happen. We didn’t do anything wrong, didn’t fight with anyone. I felt completely helpless,” she said.

Another laborer with a phone called the police, who arrived at 1:30 am, and began to search the area.

The authorities eventually found the girl in a jungle area close by at around 2 am. Her clothes were torn and there were bloody scratch marks across her body. She was treated for severe bleeding at a local hospital.

A man named Vijay Singh was arrested in connection with the rape.
