1,000 People Met In An Abandoned Warehouse, Start To Sing - You've Got To Hear This!

You’ve heard it before. Probably more than once, and you’ve probably cried every single time. But the latest version of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah” is probably the most beautiful one you’ve ever heard.

The 1,500 member group “Choir! Choir! Choir!” lent their voices for a heavenly cover of the song. Singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright lead the choir which performed at Toronto’s Hearn Generating Station, according to Rare.com.

People on social media are in love with the latest version of the song.

“Absolutely magical,” said one YouTube user.

Choir! Choir! Choir! recently came together for a tribute to Prince and David Bowie. “Hallelujah” is actually one of the most covered songs ever, according to Rare.com, performed by Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson and Bono.

It was released by Cohen in 1984 on his “Various Positions” album. Cohen reportedly struggled for years to finish the song and probably wrote about 80 different verses in the process, according to The New York Times.

About a decade later, Jeff Buckley released a version considered to be the most popular cover of the song on his album title, “Grace.”
