‘#1 Dad’ Uses Daughter As Human Shield To Fend Off Taser

There’s many a proud dad roaming around this wide open world of ours, some of whom are designated as the best of the best via t-shirts that they proudly wear for all to see. According to MadWorldNews, this man may want to rethink a few things, starting with his wardrobe choices.

Jonathan Morrow chose to spend some quality time with his 14-year-old daughter by taking a familial trip down to the Paintsville, Kentucky Sheriff’s office for the purposes of filing a restraining order against his wife. The day of father-daughter bonding didn’t go quite as Jonathan planned, and he had some decisions to make as to the best course of action.

Turns out dear old dad had an outstanding warrant from neighboring Tennessee relating to a little matter of drug trafficking. As the police moved in to arrest Jonathan, who was wearing a t-shirt that read ‘#1 Dad,’ he thought it would be best to grab his daughter and high tail it on out of there.

The authorities didn’t agree with Jonathan that this was the best course of action, and the situation further broke down from there, as Deputy Sheriff Danny Martin explains.

“Initially, after he started running, he picked his child up and actually tried to use her as a human shield, and at that time I did not have a clear shot with it so I had to make sure that she was safe,” Martin said.

The deputy was eventually able to use the taser on Jonathan, but #1 Dad had a few more lessons to share with his precious daughter.

“At that time the man pulled the barbs out, got into his vehicle, pushed his kid into the vehicle, and fled the scene. He actually struck a State Police cruiser on the way out as well,” said Martin.

Sounds like dad and daughter had plenty of life lessons to discuss on their trip back home.
