Modern Medicine Miracles Mean These Babies Are Born Different Races From Parents

A young, white couple gave birth to African-American triplets. The triplets came from adopted embryos planted in the wife's uterus. The couple had specifically requested African-American embryos because they wanted their new babies to be the same race as their current children.

The unnamed couple decided when they first got married that they wanted to adopt children, but they thought they might also like to conceive a child naturally. Unfortunately, they had fertility problems and conception didn't happen. However, they were delighted that the adoption option worked out fine.

When the couple began considering the adoption process, they learned that Caucasian children were in high demand, but African-American children often went unwanted. The evangelical Christians felt called to provide a home for those children who needed one most, and they told the adoption agency they would take any children except for Caucasian.

The white couple adopted an African-American boy and a biracial daughter. When their children were toddlers, the couple felt called to bring more kids into the family. This time, instead of adopting born children, they adopted embryos.

The National Donation Embryo Center allows infertile couples to adopt the unused embryos of other families. The couple decided to request African-American embryos so that the new baby's race would match his or her brother and sister's race. The embryo center agreed with the reasoning, and the embryos were implanted.

Nine months later, she gave birth to triplet African-American girls. The happy parents are delighted. The couple truly believes in genetic diversity and say if they were meant to have white children, God would have let them conceive their own.

“Grasping diversity will make the world stronger as we marvel at God’s creative genius on display through His people’s varying pigments, personalities, and proficiencies. Our differences are cause for celebration, not scorn,” said the proud papa.
