She Lied About Being Attacked By Trump Supporters - Now She’s Revealing Why (Video)

There was a public outcry after a Muslim student reported drunken Donald Trump supporters harassed her on the New York City subway last month. It turns out it was all a lie the Muslim girl made up so she wouldn't get in trouble for coming home late.

Yasmin Seweid, 18, told police that three men spewing hate attacked her on the train. Seweid says they called her a terrorist, snatched her hijab off her head, and threatened her. She said subway riders did nothing to help her.

“I was harassed on the subway last night,” she wrote on Facebook. “And it was just so dehumanizing I can’t speak about it without getting emotional.”

After questioning Seweid, police became suspicious. The teen finally broke and admitted she made up the whole story.

Seweid comes from a very strict Muslim family. She was out drinking with friends and was on her way home late. She made up the story in order to avoid getting into trouble. Her Egyptian immigrant parents dislike her boyfriend.

Seweid faces up to a year in jail for each false report she filed. “She had numerous opportunities to admit nothing happened and she kept sticking by her story,” said a representative for the police.

Seweids brother Abdoul was charged in 2012 for lying about an assault as well. He was 17 at the time.
