Pastor’s Wife Buys Groceries For Family She Doesn’t Even Know

Do-gooder Rachael Scott of Macon, Georgia recently bought a basket full of groceries for a family she didn’t even know.

It went down like this. Rachael was in line at the grocery store when she saw a mom and her family had at the last minute started to sort through their groceries as apparently they were going to have to put some of the items back.

Rachael said that she couldn’t help but notice that the family’s budget was so slim they were even going to have to return a carton of popsicles.

Rachael is a pastor’s wife, and she said she knew instantly that it was time for her to step up and pay it forward.

She explained her generous actions in a Facebook post:

“I felt the Lord say buy it. Our family lives well and we have what we need and a enough for extras. I didn’t have a clue what it would cost but I said yes Lord. I spoke up and said go ahead get those the Lord is paying for those extras today. The mom just looked at me. I was trying to not make a big deal and just do it, but I saw one of the little girls wipe tears from her eyes and it almost broke me.”

If everybody were as giving and generous as Rachael Scott, we could feed 99% of the billions of hungry people across the globe.
