Franklin Graham Reveals The Most Important Thing He Noticed About The VP Debate

Rev. Franklin Graham, son of famous preacher Billy Graham, was impressed by Vice Presidential candidate Mike Pence's performance in the VP debate on Tuesday. According to Graham, hearing Pence speak was 'encouraging.'

“Many politicians and public figures today avoid mentioning their faith. It is because secularism has permeated our society,” Graham wrote after the debate. “Last night during the Vice Presidential Debate, it was so encouraging to hear Governor Pence share about his personal relationship with Jesus Christ."

“My Christian faith is at the very heart of who I am. I was also raised in a wonderful family of faith. It was church on Sunday morning and grace before dinner. But my Christian faith became real for me when I made a personal decision for Christ when I was a freshman in college," the GOP candidate explained during the debate. “And I have tried to live that out — however imperfectly every day of my life since. With my wife at my side, we have followed a calling into public service where we have tried to keep faith with the values that we cherish."

Pence also said he respected Democratic Candidate Senator Tim Kaine's faith as well, but expressed frustration with how many politicians who profess faith in God can support abortion.
