While Trump's Approval Rating Steadies, Melania's Goes Through The Roof!

Poll numbers are the lifeblood of a successful political campaign. While they can miss the mark badly sometimes due to poor sample sizes or a skewed pool of respondents, they provide valuable insight into the minds of voters when averaged out and viewed as a whole. Now that election season is behind us, polls move to the back burner a little bit, but they don’t go away completely. The focus changes to the all-important approval ratings and a certain member of the First Family is knocking it out of the park in that regard.

As the Daily Mail shares, that person would be First Lady Melania Trump, who has seen her poll numbers skyrocket over recent weeks. Back in January, 36 percent of poll respondents viewed her in a positive light. Fast forward to today, and that number has jumped all the way up to 52 percent. There are plenty of politicians out there that would kill for numbers like that, but there’s, unfortunately, no clear roadmap that Melania has laid out for them to follow.

While she has made a fantastic impression in her limited appearances, the fact remains that she keeps a low profile in general. While President Trump is minding the store in the nation’s capital, Melania is often back home in New York City tending to son Barron as he finishes out the school year. Few politicians running for office would be able to survive while keeping a low profile, as out of sight often equals out of mind as far as voters are concerned.

Perhaps it’s simply a case of voters becoming more familiar with her. She wasn’t exactly a fixture on the campaign trail, so many voters had an image that she was some sort of mystery woman that just happened to be married to a man that was running for office. She’s still picking her spots as First Lady, but she’s coming across quite well in the minds of voters.
