What Has Melania Been Up To In The 100 Days Since Inauguration?

President Donald Trump has officially been in office for 100 days which has become the standard marker for analysis of Presidential accomplishments. Someone else has been in a new role for 100 days as well: Melania Trump. How is she doing? Unfortunately, she's not as productive as her husband or her predecessors.

Melania has been delayed in getting to the White House. She is still living in the couple's New York City penthouse so that the couple's son Barron Trump can finish out the school year. While Mrs. Trump is no doubt a doting and devoted mother, putting her son first has left her first lady duties lagging.

Mrs. Trump announced before her husband's inauguration that when she was first lady, her platform would be cyberbullying. It's a serious issue and one well worth a high-profile individual tackling; but unfortunately, Melania hasn't done any work on her platform as of yet.

Melania did host some important dinners at the couple's Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, namely the Japanese Prime Minister and his wife. Unfortunately, there was a breakdown of communication over schedules and she didn't get to escort the Prime Minister's wife, Akie Abe, around Washington D.C.

The FLOTUS appeared at the White House for International Women’s Day luncheon and spoke about the importance of equality among the sexes. She also visited an all-girls charter school with queen Noor of Jordan.

Mrs. Trump has had some difficult issues to face as well. No sooner did the former fashion model become first lady, rumors began to fly on websites and blogs saying that she was once a prostitute. Melania sued and settled with one media group who claimed she was a high-priced call girl before meeting President Trump.

Despite the fact that she hasn't gotten around to doing much, Melania's approval ratings are higher than her husband's ratings. Hopefully, when the FLOTUS finally gets to D.C. she'll become more active in her role.
