Walker Opposed To McConnell And Boehner's Amnesty Deal

A front runner in a number of the 2016 GOP presidential polls, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker has come out with strong opposition against the deal that Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and House Speaker John Boehner made for funding Obama’s executive amnesty.

Walker thinks it comes across as surrendering the power of Congress over Obama’s purse. In addition, Walker is angry that Democrats who have stated they were opposed to the actions of the president did not follow through and vote in the same manner as their stated positions.

Walker, who represents Wisconsin, which is a part of the Texas-led lawsuit involving 26 different states against the actions of the president also shared that Congress needs to do its appointed job. Andrew S. Hanen, federal judge, put the executive amnesty of Obama on hold until the appeals are done within the court system. This is something that the administration has agreed to comply with reluctantly.

Walker was one of the first governors who joined this lawsuit. He is hoping to prevail in the courts, but he also believes that Congress needs to keep its power over the purse to fight the overreach of President Obama. While democrats have questioned the overreach of the president in the past, they did not hold him accountable when they were given the opportunity.
