Wait A Second - Ivanka's Not Even Her Real Name?

Things have been a little quiet on the Ivanka Trump bashing front for a little while, but this new story that’s making the rounds should take care of that misappropriation of social media justice. The virtual claws will be coming out any second now, as it’s been revealed that Ivanka may not have been completely forthcoming about something. Or she just prefers to be called something else, but we’ll go with the former as the reason that people will get all hot and bothered.

As Business Insider shares, the First Daughter’s real first name isn’t Ivanka. It’s actually Ivana, the same as her mother. She actually explained it herself on social media back in 2010, but it’s somehow getting traction now.

“My actual name is Ivana. In Czech, Ivanka is the baby name for Ivana, like Bobby is to Robert. RT @Saluxious Ivanka, how'd you get u r name?” she wrote at the time.

This has all of the makings of a salacious White House scandal that will lead to mobs of folks on social media calling for an immediate investigation and resignations. How could this possibly be allowed to happen? We can’t have a First Daughter in the White House that has already completely explained the backstory on her name for all to see! There must be more to see. I’ll bet you that Jared Kushner guy is involved somehow, he’s always up to no good.

While the above may seem a bit on the outlandish side, it’s actually quite representative of a day in the life when it comes to Ivanka Trump on social media. In fact, we can say the same about any member of the Trump clan, as trolls are out there in abundance regardless of which one we’re talking about.

In President Donald Trump’s case, we can understand it. He puts himself out there on social media all the time, and he doesn’t seem to be all that shy about stirring the pot. Add in the fact that there’s a strong anti-Trump sentiment amongst some voters, and you can see why some folks may vent some of their frustrations on social media in his direction.

We can even get it when it comes to Donald Trump Jr. He’s a passionate defender of his father, and he’s not shy about throwing the snark around to get his point across. That snark is an invitation for responses, and he gets blasted non stop on social media as a result.

However, we fail to get it when it comes to either Ivanka Trump of First Lady Melania Trump. When has anyone ever seen either of these ladies have a cross word for anyone? Has there ever been a situation in the public eye in which they have not presented themselves with class and grace? The answers are never and no. That’s not to suggest that either woman is infallible, but it does point to the need for those that constantly criticize them to get a grip on reality.
