Trump Welcomes These People Into The White House - His Detractors Are Outraged

Regardless of where your feelings may land on the political spectrum, it’s quite clear that President Trump is sincere in his admiration and care for members of the United States military. Up and down the campaign trail, he promised to enact some much-needed changes. Now that he’s been elected, Trump is actually following through on them.

As Breitbart shares, Trump’s actions continue to speak louder than his words, and it seems like his respect for the nation’s military has only grown since he has assumed the role of commander-in-chief. Deputy Assistant to the President Sebastian Gorka has shared a story that shows yet again that all of the president’s talk isn’t simply hot air.

A class of Green Beret candidates was recently in the White House for a simple visit to the National Security Council, and the opportunity presented itself for the class to have a meet-and-greet with the president.

“Halfway through the discussion, said, ‘Hey - we’re not supposed to do this but follow me, and he brought them all into the Oval Office, took a group photograph around the Resolute desk, and then - throwing the schedules into a bit of a tizzy, said OK that’s not good enough,'” Gorka said.

Trump graciously dropped everything that was on his plate so he could spend some time with the class, who undoubtedly left the White House feeling as if the president is firmly in their corner.

“He said, ‘everybody stand in the corner.’ They all stood in the corner, and one-by-one we took photographs they can take home to their family with each future Green Beret next to the president at the Oval Office desk. That’s how much he loves our soldiers - our warriors,” Gorka continued.

As with most things in life, the little things add up to make a ton of difference. Simple signs of respect such as this do a ton to boost the overall morale of the military, and that’s something that benefits our nation as a whole.
