Trump: Terrorists Will Win Until Obama Is Gone

Donald Trump declared Sunday that a new president is needed to protect the country from terrorism.

Politico reported that the front-running contender for the Republican nomination called the issue a “tremendous problem” that will not be “solved” until President Obama “gets the hell out” of the White House.

Trump argued that the administration should use the term “radical Islamic terrorism” in reference to the recent mass killings in Paris and San Bernardino, Calif. Obama has refused to utter that phrase, claiming it would insult the overwhelming majority of Muslims who are not terrorists.

“Until he admits that this is a problem, we’re never gonna solve the problem,” Trump said on “Face the Nation” on CBS. “But he’s only gonna be there, fortunately, a little bit more than a year.”

The billionaire candidate railed against those who “want to be politically correct.” He declared that “there can be profiling” in identifying potential terrorists. “If they thought there was something wrong with that group and they saw what was happening, and they didn’t want to call the police because they didn’t want to be profiling, I think that’s pretty bad. People are dead. A lot of people are dead right now,” Trump said.

The candidate repeated his proposal to establish a database and conduct surveillance to monitor the millions of Muslims living in the United States. “You have people that have to be tracked,” he said. “If they’re Muslims, they’re Muslims.”
