Trump Says Elizabeth Warren Running For President Is 'Dream Come True'

It would be “a dream come true” to oppose Sen. Elizabeth Warren in the 2020 election, President Trump told Fox News on Saturday.

“I think she would lose so badly,” he said. “She hurt Hillary Clinton very badly.” The president was referring to last year’s White House race, when Warren served as a campaign surrogate for the Democratic nominee. Breitbart News noted that the Massachusetts senator appeared with Clinton at rallies in battleground states like New Hampshire and Pennsylvania.

“I watched that last couple weeks, where she was getting up with that craziness and anger,” Trump said. “They are hard. I said, ‘She is bad for Hillary.’ Pocahontas would not be proud of her as her representative, believe me.” The president has frequently invoked the name of Pocahontas to mock Warren’s claim of being descended from the Cherokee tribe.

When Fox News’ Jesse Watters mentioned that Warren will “probably run against” the president in the next general election, Trump shot back: “I hope so. That would be a dream come true.”

Warren, a champion of liberal Democrats and other progressives, has become one of Trump’s sharpest critics. Breitbart News pointed out that during her speech in June at the American Constitution Society, the senator called then-candidate Trump a “nasty, thin-skinned fraud.”

The Hill reported that Warren also referred to Trump as a “racist bully” for having criticized a judge whose parents were from Mexico. The real-estate mogul claimed the judge could not be unbiased in a fraud case against Trump University because of his ethnicity. “He has even condemned federal judges who are Muslim on the disgusting theory that Trump’s own bigotry compromises the judges’ neutrality,” Warren said. “You just can’t make this stuff up.”

The senator continued: “Donald Trump is a loud, nasty, thin-skinned fraud who has never risked anything for anyone and who serves no one but himself. Trump tells everyone who will listen that he is a great businessman. But let's be honest, he's just a guy who inherited a fortune and kept it rolling along by cheating people. And you know, when that's your business model, sooner or later you're going to run into legal trouble, and Donald Trump has run into a lot of legal trouble.”
