Trump Has Put Up A New Painting In The Oval Office - It's Anything But Non-Controversial

President Donald Trump spent some time in Nashville, Tennessee. While there, he held a rally, and honored the 7th President of the United States, Andrew Jackson.

President Trump had an opportunity to visit New York, His home town, with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Wednesday.

Instead, he opted to head to Nashville, Tennessee. Wednesday was the 250th anniversary of Andrew Jackson’s birth, and the current POTUS decided to go to Nashville and pay his respects.

The visit caused a stir among locals. Thousands of people were excited about the visit. They were decked out in their finest Trump attire and stood in line for hours to join him at a rally, where he spoke about replacing the Affordable Care Act, the unpopular health care bill otherwise known as Obamacare.

A good portion of the city residents showed up to protest Mr. Trump as well.

Trump has long been compared to Andrew Jackson, for the heated campaign as well as the way both men ran as political outsiders. Both are also strong-willed and independent leaders who don’t shrink back from standing up to their party.

"Andrew Jackson was the people's president and his election came at a time when the vote was finally being extended to those who did not own property," President Trump has said.

Andrew Jackson was born in a settlement between North and South Carolina 250 years ago, but in 1803 he moved to Tennessee near Nashville and built a plantation. Trump visited the Hermitage, Jackson's historic plantation, and museum, and was given a tour of the property. He finished by visiting Jackson's tomb. As the president put a wreath on Jackson's grave and saluted, taps played quietly in the background.

According to White House officials, the POTUS hung a new portrait in the oval office: a portrait of Andrew Jackson. Most people know Jackson for his portrait on the $20 bill.
