Trump Focuses on Walker – Defends Prior Statements

The outspoken Donald Trump unleashed a new personal attack against Governor of Wisconsin Scott Walker. This occurred just days after being targeted by the latest campaign blast from the governor. The speech, Trump made in Iowa, came on the heels of Walker’s fundraising event where he referred to the billionaire businessman as “DumbDumb” in the event's invitation.

After this insult, Trump became offensive with criticism against the economic record Walker holds. During Trump’s speech in Iowa, he stated, “Wisconsin is in turmoil.” He continued on to point out the state's hospitals, schools and roads, which were all, in his words, “a disaster.”

Walker is leading the Iowa polls and continues to be one of the biggest rivals for Trump in the race for President.

During Trump’s speech he stated, “I hear the only person beating me in Iowa is Scott Walker. I can’t believe I’m in second place. Folks, will you please put me in first place so I feel better?”The crowd that gathered Saturday also found out that Trump admires Walker’s “fight” but was unsure what he was fighting for. Yet, after the fundraising email was published publicly, Trump stated he could finally attack.

In the Iowa polls, Walker leads the GOP 2016 field, followed by Jeb Bush. Rand Paul and Trump are tied for third. During his speech, Trump stated, “A guy like Bush, a guy like Walker, are controlled by the people who give them money. They will be bombarded by their lobbyists who donated a lot.”
